BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Tyrone Willingham has a total of twenty (23) years coaching experience with several organizations at both the professional and collegiate levels. Prior to his current position as Head Coach at the University of Notre Dame, he held positions of increasing responsibility in the following areas: Graduate Assistant, Defensive Secondary, Special Teams, Receiver Coach, Running Backs Coach. He has been employed by the following universities: Michigan State, North Carolina State, Central Michigan, Rice University, Stanford University, and now the University of Notre Dame.. From 1992 - 1994, Tyrone was the running backs coach with the Minnesota Vikings.

PERSONAL PROFILE:
Tyrone is one of the shining stars in the coaching profession today. His skills as a teacher, communicator and motivator are outstanding. Additionally, he has demonstrated the management skills to run the football operations at a major university. He is a good problem solver and brings vision and creativity to the major challenges that are present in the demanding environment of the University of Notre Dame.
