BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Ricky Hunley is considered to be on a fast track to become a Division I-A head football coach in the near future. He has a total of eight years of coaching experience, six at the University of Missouri and two as a graduate assistant at the University of Southern California. He is currently defensive line coach at the Washington Redskins.  Prior to this, he was at the University of Florida as defensive line coach, coaching linebackers and also handling special teams. In addition to his coaching experience, he spent seven years in the NFL as a player with Denver, Oakland, and the Phoenix Cardinals. He was All-American at the University of Arizona.

Ricky Hunley is a very dynamic individual who makes a good first impression. He is bright, articulate, out-going, and projects an air of self confidence about his abilities as a coach and administrator. I would describe him as being well focused, highly organized, and capable of communicating his thoughts and ideas in an intelligent and straightforward manner. He has the reputation of being a motivator of people and a good problem solver. He definitely has the qualities to become a head football coach.
